2009 Hatteras Village Christmas Parade
Make your plans now to attend the Annual Hatteras Christmas Parade on December 12th. The parade begins at 2PM starting at Teach's Lair Marina through Hatteras Village along Hwy 12 to the Hatterasman Drive-In. Afterwards everyone is invited to the Civic Center for home baked cookies and hot chocolate (yummy!) where the float winners will be announced.
Later that night, 9PM to Midnight, a dance will be held at the Civic Center with the music styling’s of the Raleigh based Boomerang Band. Admission is $5 per person. Light appetizers and set ups are provided, BYOB if you choose. Island Hopper Shuttle is providing transportation to and from the dance courtesy of the Hatteras Village Civic Association. Reservations for shuttle services must be arranged directly with Island Hopper, 252-995-6771.
If you have interest in entering the parade, please contact either Karla Jarvis, 252-986-2387 or Dennis Robinson, 252-475-4388. You can also send an email to hatterasparade@yahoo.com. Three prizes of $250 will be awarded and three prizes of $50 will be awarded for children’s entries.
It’s THE yearly event on Hatteras so the experience is mandatory! :) See ya there!
